Journée de la prématurité : l’HPGRB enregistre entre 10 et 15 enfants nés prématurément chaque mois

Cette journée vise à réfléchir sur les moyens d’aider les femmes à vivre cette étape et offrir une affection considérable aux enfants nés prématurés.

D’après les professionnels de santé, la prématurité, c’est le fait de venir au monde avant huit mois de grossesse. Nés entre 24 et 26 semaines d’aménorrhée révolues, les enfants sont considérés comme extrêmes prématurés.

Entre 27 et 31 semaines, comme grands prématurés et entre 32 et 34 semaines, comme modérément prématurés.

L’Hôpital Provincial Général de Référence de Bukavu, HPGRB, en province du Sud-Kivu fait savoir qu’il enregistre chaque mois entre 10 et 15 enfants nés prématurément. Ces derniers sont pris en charge dans leur structure grâce aux couveuses modernes adaptées à la température souhaitée.

À l’occasion de la célébration de cette journée, l’organisation caritative SOS Prema du couple « Mbuyi » vient de sensibiliser les femmes qui ont eu des enfants prématurés, à l’HPGRB.

Sur place, un kit composé des habits, pampers, et autres effets des nourrissons ont été octroyés à ces femmes, façon d’aleger leurs fardeaux, comme l’a souligné le coordonnateur de cette structure, Mbuyi Mutabataba Rwambara.

La prématurité étant un facteur de risque, les femmes enceintes sont donc appelées à respecter les consultations prénatales afin de protéger leurs bébés.

L’Hôpital Provincial Général de Référence de Bukavu, HPGRB, assure les soins aux enfants prématurés, asphyxiés, et ceux nés avec infections pour assurer leur croissance en bonne santé.
